Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association releases 2026 softball championship bracket

The Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association announced on May 17 the official bracket for the 2026 DIAA Softball State Championship. Twenty-four teams have qualified for this year’s tournament based on their regular season performance and selection criteria outlined in the DIAA Softball Tournament Manual.

The tournament will begin with first round games on Tuesday, May 19, followed by second round matchups on Thursday, May 21. Quarterfinals are scheduled for Saturday, May 23. The semifinals and championship final will take place at the University of Delaware’s Delaware Diamond on Tuesday, May 26 and Friday, May 29 respectively.

The top eight seeds for this year’s tournament are Caravel Academy (#1), Conrad Schools of Science (#2), Sussex Central High School (#3), Sussex Technical High School (#4), Polytech High School (#5), Delmar High School (#6), Lake Forest High School (#7), and Concord High School (#8). Other schools participating include Saint Mark’s High School, Middletown High School, Smyrna High School, Delaware Military Academy, Indian River High School, Appoquinimink High School, Brandywine High School, Padua Academy, Sussex Academy, Cape Henlopen High School, Red Lion Christian Academy, Caesar Rodney High School, Charter School of Wilmington, Milford High School, Odessa High School and Newark Charter School.

Tickets for the first three rounds can be purchased online through GoFan. Tickets for the semifinals and finals at the University of Delaware must be purchased through UD Ticketing. The semifinal and championship games will also be streamed live on the NFHS Network to allow fans to follow remotely.
