Christmas Office Hours and Collections

City of Delaware offices close at noon Friday, December 23 and remain closed Monday, December 26. Friday refuse will be collected on an accelerated schedule. Refuse will not be collected on Dec. 26. It will be collected on a “Next Day” schedule Tuesday, December 27 through Saturday, December 31.

Additional Refuse Bags Dec. 27-Dec. 31

For December 27-31, additional non-tagged bags of holiday refuse placed outside of the tipcarts will be collected at curbside.

New Year’s Hours and Collections

City offices are closed Monday, January 2. Refuse will not be collected on Jan. 2. It will be collected on a “Next Day” schedule Tuesday, January 3 through Saturday, January 7.

Christmas Tree Collections

The annual Christmas tree and holiday greens collection period is Tuesday, January 3 through Friday, February 3. Any remaining yard waste will be picked up at this time, as well.  Do not place trees in plastic bags at curbside.
