How many companies in cities across Kent County received FDA citations in 2024?

There were two companies in cities associated with Kent County that received FDA citations as a result of two inspections conducted in the county throughout 2024, according to reports from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

This is a 33.3% decrease from the number of companies cited in the previous year.

The citations in the county were ‘Your training records did not meet general records requirements’ and ‘For a food that may contain a hazard that will be controlled by the foreign supplier and is one for which there is a reasonable probability that exposure to the hazard will result in serious adverse health consequences or death to humans or animals, you did not conduct and document or obtain documentation of an onsite audit of the foreign supplier’.

Both companies cited should take a voluntary action to correct its managing operations (50%).

The FDA routinely inspects facilities across the nation to determine if the workplace and their products are compliant with FDA-regulated laws and regulations implemented to improve overall public health. Inspection results are then disclosed publicly.
