Delaware State University’s Kristin White was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Pitcher of the Week, according to an announcement on Apr. 27.

The recognition highlights White’s performance in a recent game where she pitched a complete-game shutout against UMES. She allowed only two hits over five innings and struck out six batters, finishing with a 0.00 earned run average in her only appearance that week.

In addition to White’s honor, Morgan State junior Millie Cousins was selected as MEAC Softball Player of the Week, while Norfolk State’s Samantha Stevenson received Rookie of the Week honors. The weekly awards recognize outstanding individual performances across MEAC softball teams.

Other notable contributions from Delaware State included Karly Cain, who achieved a .400 batting average over three games during the same period.

These recognitions reflect strong performances by student-athletes within the conference and underscore their contributions to their respective teams.
