Houston home prices rise in the third quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2018 in Houston rose by $114,050 while total sales remained unchanged with eight homes sold, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2018, there were eight homes sold, with a median sale price of $209,500 - a 119.5% increase over the $95,450 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were eight homes sold in Houston in the third quarter of 2017, as well.

The median sales tax in Houston for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $453, approximately 0.2% of the median home sale price for the third quarter of 2018.
