U-Haul released a report revealing the top states where people are choosing to relocate. Interestingly, Delaware ranked in the middle.

Delaware has nestled in between Arizona and West Virginia when it comes to moves. It ranked No. 11 last year, however, the state ended up in the 21st spot this year. According to the U-Haul reports, there are just as many people leaving Delaware as there are people are moving to the state.

Though 21st may seem like the bottom of the list, neighboring states Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Maryland ended up near the bottom.

Delaware has seen a spike in older residents relocating to Sussex and Kent counties. This is due to the coastal location, the favorable tax treatment on retirement income, as well as the low property taxes.

Past reports reveal that Delaware was 18th for growth in 2017, 15th in 2016 and 23rd in 2015.
