Kent County ranked third among counties in Delaware by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau in August.

The median income of Kent County residents was an inflation-adjusted $28,873 per year. Kent County had 63,381 households in 2017, with a population of 173,145.

The county with the highest median resident income in the state was New Castle County. New Castle County's median income was $33,696 per year after adjusting for inflation – $4,823 more than Kent County. It had 202,654 households in 2017 and a population of 555,036.
