TOWN OF FELTON: DNREC-Mosquito Control Plans The Following Insecticide Application On August 18

Town Of Felton issued the following announcement on Aug. 17.

Weather permitting; the Delaware Mosquito Control Section plans the following insecticide application(s) during the evening hours on Tuesday, August 18, 2020:

Application of Anvil 10+10 (Sumithrin/PBO) with a truck-mounted sprayer to control adult mosquitoes in the following areas:

In and near Camden-Wyoming, Felton, Harrington, Milford and Farmington.

Near Viola, Marydel, Greenwood, Magnolia, Frederica, Lincoln and Georgetown.

For notification purposes, spraying will be done in the following spray zones: 89, 90, 91, 92, 93, 97, 98, 99, 105, 106, 107, 113, 115, 116, 118, 123, 124, 125, 136, 150 and 151.

All insecticides to be used are registered with the USEPA for mosquito control and will be applied according to USEPA approved label instructions. The USEPA has determined that the insecticides to be used do not pose unreasonable risks to human health, wildlife, or the environment.
