Smyrna ranked 33rd among cities in Delaware by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The median income of Smyrna residents was $33,168 per year, adjusted for inflation. It had 4,211 households with a population of 11,333.

The city with the highest median resident income in the state was Henlopen Acres with $73,125 per year after adjusting for inflation – $39,957 more than Smyrna. It had 89 households with a population of 204.
