Houston home prices rose in the first half of 2021

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2021 in Houston rose by $67,904 while total sales decreased by 58.8%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2021, there were seven homes sold, with a median sale price of $235,904 - a 40.4% increase over the $168,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 17 homes sold in Houston in the first half of 2020.

The median sales tax in Houston for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $453, approximately 0.2% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2021.
