This former Kent County area high school standout will be competing on Friday, May 8.
Eighty-three student-athletes from eight schools were named to the MEAC’s 2026 Softball All-Academic Team. Eleven Delaware State players earned recognition for maintaining strong academic records alongside their athletic commitments.
Four athletes from Delaware State have been recognized with All-Conference honors by the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference ahead of this week’s tournament. The team prepares to compete as a top seed at Norfolk State University starting May 6.
Miriam Okwudibonye took first place in the women’s 400-meter hurdles at the Princeton Larry Ellis Invite for Delaware State. Several other athletes also delivered strong performances as the team continues its outdoor season.
