The Delaware State Hornets beat Maryland-Eastern Shore Hawks 3-1 after leading from the first inning. Rhyannon Stanley pitched all seven innings for Delaware State. The team will next compete at the MEAC Softball Tournament.
These former Kent County area high school standouts are scheduled to compete the week starting Monday, April 27.
Delaware State Hornets swept a softball doubleheader against Maryland-Eastern Shore Hawks on April 25. Strong pitching from Kristin White led to an opening shutout win before Angie Ordonez powered another victory.
