The Caesar Rodney School District has released a list of sites where it will serve meals free of charge to children 18 years and under.

Sites released by the district in a press release include: W. Reilly Brown Elementary, 8 to 8:30 a.m. and 11 to 11:30 a.m.; Brecknock County Park, 8:40 to 9:10 a.m. and 11:40 a.m. to 12:10 p.m.; Dover Air Base Park, 9 to 9:30 a.m. and noon to 12:30 p.m.; Allen Frear Elementary, 9:30 to 10 a.m. and 12:30 to 1 p.m.

The district is providing breakfast and lunch for pick-up on a first-come, first-serve basis in an effort to ensure students are fed during the shutdown based on coronavirus pandemic health concerns. Meals began March 17 and will be served weekdays through March 27.

Districts such as Caesar Rodney are able to provide meals to students through a waiver granted to the Delaware Department of Education through the federal government.
