Out of those who provided figures, 74 individuals were hospitalized and three were admitted to the ICU. The gender breakdown was 49 percent male and 51 percent female.
The American Academy of Pediatrics and the Children's Hospital Association stated that in the United States, children represent about 9 percent of all COVID-19 cases. The Mayo Clinic points out that children of all ages can contract COVID-19 but most don’t become as ill as adults and some show no symptoms at all.
