Parking violation fee changes approved by City Council in December go into effect Monday, Jan. 9. A standardized violation fee of $25 will be in place, instead of having varying rates and times. For example, for overtime parking in a non-metered space, the fee is being reduced from $40 to $25. For metered spaces, the fine will be $25, instead of $10 if not paid by midnight or $7 if paid by midnight.
